My house, my rules. No mobile phone zone.

What has been happening to people? What is happening to the world? Everybody is just running, running, running…Total chaos.

I look around and find everyone pasted on their mobile phones even when people are in company of others.

Why people prefer rather be social on a smartphone than in real life?

It drives me crazy when someone comes at my house and constantly checks his mobile phone. Would staying disconnected for an hour make him the victim of early death? Only pick up when your spouse or children call. Why the whole world has to be important when you are meeting me?

And why you keep saying that there’s no life without a phone?

Didn’t we live in past without one?

I have never kept a TV in my living room because I hated it in other people’s houses when guests would rather watch TV than talk. Yes, people found it uncomfortable in my house but it’s my house.

So, here’s the news. Since my studio has always been a ‘NO PHONE’ zone, now my house will be same. I confiscate my Mr. M’s mobile and switch it off at 9 pm till 9 am, he is not allowed to keep it on when we are together or when he is eating. So now you would also not be allowed to use it when you are visiting me.

I need quality time.

I need peace.

I need respect.

It’s my house, my rules.
