Every time I complain how bad system is in Pakistan or how bad people behave or how reckless they are on  roads, driving, riding, walking,  so I have been told ‘it’s lack of education’.

‘Lack of education ? How come?

IGNORANCE-XANDRIA-NOIRSixty-five percent of population in Pakistan live in rural areas and thirty-five in cities. Rural areas have pseudo-schools that fail to fulfill their first utmost duty – educating children. I get it, but those people live in rural areas where modernization is an imaginary term. On the other hand, the 35 % that dwell in urban areas goes to schools that DO have teachers. Out of that 35 percent, 20 percent send their children to private schools (I am sure). They all go to colleges and universities. Dwellers of rich settlements go to top most expensive schools and universities in Pakistan.

SO WHY THE HECK, LACK OF EDUCATION?  I am only complaining about that 20 percent people in Pakistan who are making it the worst place to live for a person like me.

Desperate schoolgirl

I live in Defence DHA Karachi, a posh area. Not a day pass by when I don’t find bikers and drivers going against traffic rules. Driving on the wrong side of the road is common not only among middle-class bikers who went to mediocre schools but common among drivers and owners of expensive automobiles who went to posh schools. Honking at drivers for no reason other than having the road cleared for him (for no reason) is a trait of less privileged and privileged, both equally. Watching and bearing this is one of the reasons I have wished for living abroad in the West.

Heaps of garbage, rotten garbage actually, are found outside expensive houses. Abusive behavior is demonstrated not only by the people who were not at the luck to get into fancy schools but also by those who came out of International institutions.

They all went to schools, then how come the LACK OF EDUCATION? How about saying that Pakistanis just generally do not want to learn and they want to stick to becoming worse and worse. Sadder part is that the new generation does not learn anything from schools (at all) anymore. They learn from society. And what’s society doing? Well, you all know what i am talking about.
